A number of firefighters in Northern Ireland were injured after being attacked while dealing with a suspected arson early today.

A total of five fire officers were hurt, two seriously, after the blaze at premises at the Bloomfield retail park in Bangor, Co Down, shortly before 5am.

Police have sealed off the area and inquiries are continuing. There are no further details at this stage.
