Jackie Skelly Fitness today announced it has raised an investment package of over €5 million to expand its business in the greater Dublin area.

The fundraising was led by ICC Venture Capital and the Guinness Ireland Ulster Bank Equity Fund, which is managed by NCB Ventures.

Part of the funds will be used to construct a new 25,000- square-foot fitness and leisure centre being developed at Park West Business Park in Dublin that is due to open later this year.

Commenting on the investment, the ICC and NCB Directors said they were attracted by the very positive demographic and other economic indicators in the leisure sector that offer the prospect of significant growth and value creation in the next three years.
