Five of the men arrested in connection with the death of a Chinese man in the village of Patrickswell Co Limerick last night, have been released.
A sixth man arrested at 12.30 p.m. today is still being held for questioning in Limerick.
A 33-year-old man believed to be a restaurant owner from Galway, died after he was stabbed at a Chinese takeaway in the village shortly before midnight last night.
It is understood a row broke out between a number of Chinese men from Wexford and the restaurant staff.
Another man (26) was stabbed during the incident and was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital, where he is recovering.
A murder inquiry is now underway and the State Pathologist, Dr John Harbison, will carry out a post mortem on the dead man later today.
Although the cause of the incident has not yet been established, the Garda have said they are pursuing a number of avenues.
A Garda spokesman told ireland.com, the possibility that the row may have been about protection money "has not been ruled out, or ruled in", in their investigation.
