Rugby – Team News:Munster welcome Jerry Flannery back into the fold ahead of Saturday's Heineken Cup Pool 3 game against Toulon at Thomond Park.
Tony McGahan’s side battled for a losing bonus point in their opener away to London Irish last weekend and will look to record a home win against the French side this weekend.
Flannery played for his club at the weekend and came through a rigorous session this morning at Thomond Park.
Sam Tuitupou is also named in the 29-man squad but he could be joining fellow Munster centre, Lifeimi Mafi, on the sidelines through suspension after being cited for upending London Irish scrumhalf Paul Hodgson.
Tuitupou was sin-binned for the incident after 22 minutes of Munster’s 23-17 defeat at the Madejski Stadium by referee Christophe Berdos but match commissioner Ray Wilton (Wales) believed he has a case to hear for “lifting from the ground and dropping or driving a player into the ground” under IRB law 10.4 (j).
Tuitupou will be one of four players to face disciplinary hearings in Dublin tomorrow following the first round of European matches. Scarlets and Cardiff flankers, Jonny Fa'amatuainu and Martyn Williams, plus Clermont Auvergne lock Jamie Cudmore also have cases to answer.
Toulon are expected to be without Johnny Wilkinson, who is likely to be rested for Saturday’s game (3pm) as the big-spending French outfit keep one on Top 14 clashes with Stade Francais, Toulouse and Perpignan after the Munster game.
