The Food Safety Authority of Ireland yesterday published details of 19 enforcement orders served in May for breaches of food safety legislation.
Pacinos restaurant on Suffolk Street, Dublin had a closure order served on it on May 2nd, and lifted the following day. On May 17th, a prohibition order was also served on the premises, ordering the withdrawal of foods including dairy products, vegetables and meat which were located in a rear laneway. The order was lifted on the same day.
The other closure orders were served on: Griffin on the Green on 12 St Stephens Green; part of the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis; Chopsticks restaurant at the Ilac Centre, part of the Lydon House Catering facility at Roscommon Race Course: Poc ar Buile public house in Ballinrostig, Whitegate, Co Cork; the Curry King restaurant in Clogheen, Tipperary; Morning Star Food Hill grocery store in Navan, Co Meath; Jade Garden take-away in Headford, Co Galway; Rose Palace Chinese restaurant, Well Road, Portlaoise: Sichuan House restaurant on Dublin’s Parnell Street; Hong Kong seafood restaurant, also on Parnell Street, Dynasty restaurant, Main Street, Ballymun; a food stall operated by Ali Ammar at Geashill, Co Offaly and the Head Chef food stall, on Main Street, Skibbereen.
