Four people were injured yesterday and taken to Naas hospital after a collision between a lorry and a car on the main Dublin to Cork road. The accident took place between Monasterevin and Kildare at Cherryville.
An ESB lorry travelling south was in collision with a car going towards Dublin at about 4 p.m. Three occupants of the car and the lorry driver were taken to hospital.
Traffic in both directions was held up for nearly 3 1/2 hours. The road is one of the busiest in the State.
