The body of a newborn baby found in a skip in Limerick almost a month ago is to be buried tomorrow.

The baby boy was discovered in a skip hire yard in Killila, near the village of Broadford, Co Limerick, on August 4th and has been named Aidan after St Aidan, whose feast day falls tomorrow.

A postmortem by State Pathologist Prof Marie Cassidy confirmed the infant's death was not suspicious. A garda spokesman said that the results suggested the child had not lived after birth.

Gardaí today renewed their appeal for anyone with information to contact them on 069-20650 and said any information would be treated in the strictest confidence.
