Galway and Kerry will contest the National Football League Division One final after both convinced in semi-final wins over Mayo and Laois respectively.
Galway were first in after they saw their way past old rivals Mayo in a game played in front of a crowd of 10,000.
Mayo failed to find the scoring power that has graced their season so far and instead it was the Tribesmen who took their chances through captain Padraig Joyce, Michael Meehan, Derek Savage and Michael Comer for a commanding halftime lead of 1-06 to 0-03.
Mayo claimed the first two scores of the second half, while Austin O'Malley's goal on the hour made for a tense finish. But points from Joyce and Michael Donnellan saw Galway comfortably through to the final.
In Killarney the home fans were buoyant mood after they saw their sides best performance this season.
Ross Munnelly and Colm Kelly gave Laois an early two point advantage but the homeside took control from there on in, gaining the edge in almost every department.
A goal of typical quality from Colm 'Gooch' Cooper helped give Kerry a six point advantage at the break, and despite playing with the wind in the second period that was the way it continued for Laois.
Kerry pointed twice early in the second to put the game out of their reach.
The Kingdom and the Tribesmen will meet next Sunday at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
