Gardaí in Donnybrook are seeking the help from the public in identifying a man found in the Dodder River on Friday afternoon.

The man was found at lunchtime and removed to St Vincent's Hospital in Donnybrook.

He is described as being Caucasian, of thin build and about six feet in height. He was wearing a grey T-shirt with "Valee Bravado Chile" written on it, in addition to grey boxer shorts and black Timberland runners.

A postmortem is being carried out this afternoon.
