Gardaí in Limerick have seized 15 rounds of ammunition and a sawn-off shotgun as part of a crackdown on criminals in the city.
The seizure was made in the Delmege Park area of Moyross in the north of the city.
Elsewhere, a prisoner is recovering at Limerick Regional Hospital following a stabbing in Limerick Prison.
The victim is believed to be a member of a leading criminal gang in the city.
