Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a hit-and-run incident in north Dublin this morning which has left a 24-year-old man seriously injured.

The man was walking along Main Street, Blanchardstown when he was hit by a car at around 3.20 a.m.

He was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital where his condition was described as serious.
