Gardaí in Drogheda investigating the rape of a teenage girl by two men have appealed to the public for help.

Gardaí in Drogheda investigating the rape of a teenage girl by two men have appealed to the public for help.

The attack happened when the 17-year-old was dragged into a private car- park just off Wellington Quay, a short distance from two nightclubs and a number of pubs. There she was brutally attacked by the men.

Garda Insp Gerry O'Brien has appealed for anyone with information on the men  or anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact the station in Drogheda.

He said the attack happened about 2.30 a.m. last Tuesday.
