Gardaí in Dublin seized drugs with a potential street value of €500,000 on Saturday. A total of 6.5 kgs of cocaine and 0.5 kgs of cannabis herb were discovered.
The seizure was made after a search at Grove Lane, Malahide Road, by members of the Coolock district garda drugs' unit, assisted by members of the DMR north divisional search team, and the Garda dog unit.
Two firearms and a small quantity of ammunition, as well as an assortment of various property suspected of being stolen, were also seized. Two men, who were taken in for questioning at Coolock Garda station, were later released.
