German police said tonight they had freed the remaining two schoolboys held hostage in a school in southwestern Germany and had arrested the armed youth.

Police said no one was injured.

The youth, described by witnesses as a former student at the school, took hostage four boys around 12 years of age and a teacher earlier in the day. He demanded a euro1 million ransom and a car.

He released the teacher first, two of the boys, and finally police freed the remaining two before arresting the suspect.
