Milan - The estranged widow of Maurizio Gucci, the late heir to the Italian fashion empire, will go on trial for his murder in April, a court here ruled yesterday.
Ms Patrizia Reggiani Martinelli (50), is accused of orchestrating his murder for money reasons, although she was receiving annual alimony from her husband of around $600,000. Four co-accused also go on trial on the same date, April 16th.
Gucci was gunned down on March 27th, 1995 at the entrance to his offices in the heart of Milan's business district.
