The Minister for Health, Ms Harney, has ordered that two suspended consultant surgeons in Cavan General Hospital be reinstated.
The north eastern section of the Health Service Executive confirmed today that it had received a letter from the Tánaiste this morning terminating the suspensions of Mr Pawan Rajpal and Mr William P. Joyce.
The surgeons were suspended in August 2003 by the Chief Executive of the North Eastern Health Board, Mr Paul Robinson because of poor interpersonal relationships.
