Prague - The Czech president, Mr Vaclav Havel (63), entered a Prague hospital yesterday and his doctor reported the former dissident playwright and revolutionary hero had caught the flu and developed a fever overnight.

A spokesman said doctors were taking a cautious approach with the Czech leader, a former smoker who has survived lung cancer and a ruptured intestine.
