Lleyton Hewitt booked his place in the final of the US Open with a straight-sets win over Joachim Johansson this evening.
The Australian, seeded four, won 6-4 7-5 6-3 over 28th-ranked Swede Johansson.
In the final, Hewitt will play the winner of the other semi-final between Britain's Tim Henman and Roger Federer of Switzerland.
