Gardai in Co Offaly are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run accident near Ballinagar, Tullamore, on Monday in which a 14-yearold girl was killed.
Aisling Conroy, of Ballymooney, Geashill, Co Offaly, was found lying on the road at around 5 p.m., and a passing motorist informed the Garda.
Her injuries were consistent with having been struck by a vehicle.
She died at Tullamore General Hospital shortly afterwards. Witnesses can contact gardai at Tullamore station on (0506) 21305.
