Tyrone's injury crisis shows no signs of easing after it was confirmed that midfielder Colin Holmes has been ruled out for the rest of the season with cruciate ligament damage.
Holmes sustained the injury during last weekend's All-Ireland qualifier win over Louth and will join captain Brian Dooher and Brian McGuigan on the sidelines for the entire championship campaign.
The All-Ireland champions also have a number of players, including footballer of the year Stephen O'Neill, struggling to regain fitness ahead of their next outing against Laois tomorrow week.
Holmes is no stranger to the treatment table, having suffered medial ligament damage last season, and now faces up to six months out of action.
"It's terrible bad luck," said manager, Mickey Harte. "A cruciate ligament is automatically four to six months out and he's had such bad luck in the past."
