London - A family of removal men smuggled almost 100 illegal immigrants into Britain in the back of lorries they used for moving furniture, a court heard yesterday. Brothers John and Stephen Hobbs, aged 44 and 43, along with Darren Hobbs (25), son of John, are charged with conspiring to traffic humans in a "thriving business" enterprise.

Canterbury Crown Court heard the Hobbs family ran two removal firms and had smuggled 96 immigrants either in wooden crates or in the back of vans.
