Hanoi - A five-month-old female infant buried alive by superstitious residents in the central province of Kon Tum was saved in time by a border guard, a news report said yesterday. The Tin Tuc Buoi Chieu newspaper said the child's mother, a member of the ethnic Gia Rai minority, was buried with the infant in the same coffin in the hope the dead woman could continue to suckle her baby.
