Intel today reiterated its forecast for lower fourth-quarter revenue, saying global economic conditions are uncertain and it has not seen an economic recovery in its business.

Intel said in a quarterly financial filing that it expects revenue of $6.5 billion to $6.9 billion, adding that the outlook for the telecommunications industry continues to be weak.

Intel's revenue in the year-earlier fourth quarter was $6.98 billion. Revenue in the 2002 third quarter was $6.5 billion.
