Ireland produced a performance of epic proportions to overcome a superb Dutch side today at Lansdowne Road.
Ireland, definite underdogs, harried and hassled the far more skillful Dutch side and never allowed them to play the "Total Football" expected of them.
The breakthrough came in the 68th minute when Jason McAteer, who also scored against the Dutch in Amsterdam, found himself with time and space to fire past Edwin Van der Sar in the Dutch goal.
