Body of missing Donegal man found in Scotland

Carndonagh native Barry Doherty (25) was last seen in Paisley on July 15th

A body found in Scotland has been confirmed as that of missing Co Donegal man Barry Doherty.

Mr Doherty, who was 25 and from Carndonagh, had been missing since he left his home in Paisley on July 15th. His father had last seen him alive that Monday evening.

A body was found in the water at Thornley Dam in Paisley yesterday afternoon.

Renfrewshire Police tonight said that the body has been identified as that of Barry.

Mr Doherty had moved to the town of Paisley from Inishowen in 2011.
