The body of missing Limerick teenager Chloe Kinsella has been recovered from the River Shannon.
The 15-year-old was last seen at her home in Kenyan Avenue in Kileely on September 28th.
She arrived home at 8pm and went to her bedroom. Some 20 minutes later, it is understood she left through an upstairs window.
Hundreds of people had joined in the search for Chloe, described by her sister as a “normal teenager girl who loves her fashion and style”.
Gardaí said a body was recovered at Brown's Quay shortly before midday by divers from Limerick Marine Search and Rescue.
They later confirmed it was the missing girl.
Her body has been moved to University Hospital Limerick where a postmortem will be carried out.
During the searches, the Shannon-based Rescue 115 Coast Guard helicopter was dispatched to search the river Shannon, and the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service was drafted in to carry out water searches.
Searchers gathered at local community centre this afternoon where her family thanked members of the public and gardaí for their help.
