Man dies after car he was driving hits wall in Co Galway

A man in his 20s has died after the car he was driving hit a wall in Co Galway.

The incident happened at 11.55pm on Wednesday near Baile Liam in Spiddal.

The man was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Galway where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí are currently at the scene and forensic investigators will attend later today. There are diversions in place.
