A man in his 40s has died following a crash in Co Leitrim this morning.
Three cars and a lorry collided on the N16 at Diffreen in Manorhamilton at about 10am.
A male driver in his 40s was seriously injured in the collision, and was taken to Sligo Regional Hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Six other people were also taken to hospital.
The road at Diffreen National School will be closed until tomorrow morning to facilitate a Garda forensic examination. Diversions are in place.

In Dublin, Terenure Road East remains closed this evening after a female pedestrian was hit by a car outside St Joseph’s Church this afternoon. The woman was taken to hospital but her injuries are not thought to be serious.
