A middle-aged man has died in a work-place accident at a cold storage company in Dublin, it emerged today.

The worker died after an accident at the food company in Finglas , on the north of the city last Thursday.

The death was reported to the Health and Safety Authority which has begun an investigation into the incident.

It is understood that the man died in the warehousing area of the facility.

It is is understood that one possible cause of the fatality was the collapse of some a racking at the warehouse.
