Members of Irish band The Script rescued a woman from her car after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed.

The incident occurred on a stretch of the M40 motorway in Buckinghamshire, England, while the band was en route to a concert.

The group were on their way from London to Manchester when they saw the car hit the central reservation of the motorway and spin out of control.

Singer Danny O’Donoghue said the band ran to help, and pulled the woman out of her car once they saw smoke coming from the engine.

“It’s all in a day’s work,” he told Manchester radio station Key103.

Mr O’Donoghue said they pulled the woman out of the car once they spotted smoke coming from the engine.

He told the station: “You’re never going to move somebody from an accident but if there’s smoke coming from the engine then you want to get them out as quick as possible.

“The girl said she couldn’t feel her legs.

“She was so weak, so we helped her to the side of the road, sat her down, put a jacket around her, gave her some drink and waited for the ambulance.”
