A motorcyclist was killed in a road crash in Blackrock, Co Dublin, on Monday evening.

The 36-year-old man was fatally injured when his motorbike struck a parked car on Carysfort Avenue at about 4.40pm.

He was taken by ambulance to St Vincent’s University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Coroner notified

Traffic diversions were in place on Monday night as Garda forensic collision investigators examined the scene. Gardaí have notified the coroner of the incident.
