A record EuroMillions jackpot of €220 million has been won by a player in France.

The winning numbers were 21, 26, 31, 34, 49 and lucky stars 2 and 5.

The biggest Irish winner on Friday night matched five numbers, winning €33,932.

There was no winner of the Plus top prize, but 10 winners are taking home €5,000 in the Ireland-only raffle.

There has been 16 Irish winners of the EuroMillions jackpot since the game began in 2004.

The first Irish winner of the EuroMillions jackpot was Dolores McNamara from Limerick in 2005, who won €115m.

A family syndicate won €175.4m on a ticket sold in Reilly's Daybreak in Naul, Co Dublin in February 2019.

In June 2013, a winning ticket sold in Beaumont, Dublin shared a EuroMillions jackpot worth over €187m with another ticket-holder.

A Dublin work syndicate claimed the €88.5m EuroMillions jackpot in January 2017. The winning ticket was sold at the Applegreen Service Station on the M1 Northbound in Lusk, Co Dublin.

The last EuroMillions jackpot winner from Ireland was an online player, registered in Dublin, who won €49.5 million in July 2020.
