Gardaí are preserving the scene in south Dublin where human skeletal remains were found last evening.
The discovery was made by a woman who was out walking with her dog at Kilakee Mountain, in Rathfarnham.
A Garda spokesman confirmed the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Curtis is expected to attend the scene later today. A forensic anthropologist is also due to examine the remains.
No details are currently available about the gender or age of the body, or how long the remains may have been lying at the scene.
