Two men seriously hurt after car hits them in north Dublin

Two pedestrians are seriously injured in hospital after being struck by a car in north Dublin on Tuesday morning.

The incident involving the men - aged in their mid-60s and mid-50s - took place on Kilshane Road, Finglas, at 6.30am.

The men were taken to James Connolly Hospital,and one has since been transferred to St James’s Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have been on the Kilshane Road, Cappagh Road or in the area between 6am and 7am on Tuesday, and particularly anyone with a dash cam in their vehicle.

The Kilshane Road is closed for investigation, and local diversions in place.
