Two men are due to appear at a special court sitting on Saturday evening in connection with an armed raid on a post -office in south Kerry.
Two armed and masked men held up post-office staff in Waterville last Wednesday.
Shortly after the robbery a car rammed a Garda vehicle , which resulted in two detectives being hospitalised.
A man from Killarney aged 32 and man from Kilcummin aged 46 are due to appear at a special sitting of Killarney District Court at 7.15pm.
The two will be charged in connection with the raid on Waterville post office and the ramming of a Garda car at Beaufort.
The men were arrested near Beaufort by gardaí on Wednesday around 1pm and were taken for questioning to Killarney and Tralee Garda stations where they were detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Gardaí also arrested a woman in her 30s about 7pm on Thursday.
She was also detained at Killarney Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
She has been released without charge on Saturday evening. Gardaí will now prepare a file on her for the DPP.
Nobody was injured in the actual robbery but both female members of staff were said to be very shaken and shocked.
The two officers injured in the ramming of the unmarked patrol car were taken to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee and later discharged.
