A woman in her late 20s has been killed in a single-vehicle road traffic crash near Carrickatober, Co Cavan.
The incident occurred at about 7.30am on Monday morning, on the road from Crosskeys to Ballyjamesduff Road.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was fatally injured when her vehicle left the road.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Navan, Co Meath.
The road is currently closed for forensic examination.
