Israeli soldiers have entered the "muqataa," the central offices of the Palestinian Authority in Hebron on the West Bank.
Between 15 and 20 Palestinian militants have been under siege in the building since Israeli forces entered Hebron on Tuesday.
Tanks and troop transport vehicles surrounded the building where lights could be seen shining from inside, witnesses said, adding they had heard no shots fired.
