Swedish 16th seed Thomas Johansson fought back to beat Czech Republic's Jiri Novak in five sets to reach the final of the Australian Open today.

Johansson won 7-6 (7/5), 0-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours, 51 minutes and will play Russian ninth seed Marat Safin or German seventh seed Tommy Haas in Sunday's final.
