RTÉ's talent contest The Voice of Ireland has been won by Cork teenager Keith Hanley.
The 19-year-old from Charleville saw off fellow contestants Kelly Mongan, Shannon Murphy and Shane McLaughlin in last night's final to win a €100,000 recording contract with Universal Music Ireland.
Mentored by Jamelia, Mr Hanley won the public phone vote with his rendition of the Saturdays' remix of Four Tops classic Beggin' , having earlier teamed up with Ryan Sheridan for a duet of Sheridan's hit Jigsaw . Mr Hanley said the news of his win is still sinking in.
“It’s slowly starting to register with me now. I don’t know when it will fully sink in. Even when I was looking at the papers today and reading about the show. It’s unbelievable,” he said.
“First off, I want to thank the amazing public for supporting me since day one. It’s just surreal.”

Mongan, an 18-year-old who is due to give birth shortly, took second place.
Last year’s winner, Pat Byrne has released three singles since his victory on the show.
