Boxing: Amir Khan has left nothing to chance ahead of his first fight against Hungarian Laszlo Komjathi in Belfast on Saturday night.
The 19-year-old will face Komjathi in his seventh professional contest at Belfast's King's Hall Arena, the scene of Barry McGuigan's greatest triumphs more than 20 years ago.
Promoter Frank Warren promises it will be a step-up in class for young Khan, who has only once been taken the distance in a career bristling with talent.
Lightweight Komjathi, a former European title contender, says he will confront the Bolton teenager "like Tartars on horseback" but could find it hard to back up big talk with big deeds.
"We've seen a lot of the guy on video, and there'll be nowhere for him to hide," said Khan's trainer Oliver Harrison. "Amir is still learning the business, but maturing fast. He looks stronger with every fight."
Top of the bill is Eamonn Magee in defence of his WBU light welterweight championship against Margate-based Takaloo, a 30-year-old Iranian.
While their records are strikingly similar, Magee has fought only once, and won, since being hospitalised after an assault that put him out of the sport for nearly 12 months.
Magee hits hard, as a floored Ricky Hatton would testify, but sometimes loses his way in the late stages of a tough contest.
Danny Williams warms up for a July 8th rematch with Matt Skelton in Cardiff by boxing the little-known German, Adnan Serin, over 10 rounds. Serin has lost four times in 18 fights.
