A man in his 70s was killed yesterday when the car he was driving was involved in a crash with an Army jeep on the Carbury-to-Edenderry road in Co Kildare.
The accident happened at about 5 p.m. when the man's car appeared to go out of control, a Garda spokesman said. The dead man, who has not been named, was from Edenderry. The driver of the jeep was slightly injured.
