Richie Power is still sidelined with a hamstring injury and will take no part in Kilkenny's Leinster SHC semi-final against Offaly in Portlaoise this Sunday.

Power picked up the injury during training last week and now Cats boss Brian Cody has confirmed the the influential striker definitely play no part this weekend.

Eoin Larkin is expected to benefit from Power's absence while Cody expects Michael Rice and Eoin McCormack to have recovered from respective leg and shoulder injuries to start from the bench.

In the Tyrone camp Ryan Mellon has been cleared to play in their Ulster SFC semi-final against Donegal on Sunday week.

The Moy attacker was hit with a four-week suspension after receiving a straight red card in his club's SFC defeat to Kildress. But the ban applies only to Mellon's club activities as it does not exceed four weeks.

Fellow attacker Gerard Cavlan was also issued with a straight red card while playing for Dungannon against Killyclougher in the Tyrone SFC last Sunday. His case will be dealt with by the Tyrone disciplinary committee later this week.
