Leeds United have rejected an Aston Villa bid for England goalkeeper Paul Robinson but the club have told Villa boss David O'Leary to increase his offer.

Robinson is looking to renegotiate his contract at Leeds, but having only agreed new terms last year, the club are reluctant to meet his demands.

Leeds chairman Professor John McKenzie said today: "We want to keep Paul but that depends on him and it may be that Aston Villa will put in a higher offer or someone else will".
