A Limerick man has been jailed by the Special Criminal Court for illegal possession of an unloaded gun in the city.

A Limerick man has been jailed by the Special Criminal Court for illegal possession of an unloaded gun in the city.

Jeffrey Lee (32), a father of one with an address at Whitecross Gardens, Moyross, Limerick, admitted the unlawful possession of a .38 inch Webley revolver on November 4th, 2003.

Jailing Lee for three-and-a-half years, Mr Justice Richard Johnson said the sentence was to take into account the time Lee has spent in custody.
