A 20-year-old man is in hospital this morning after he was beaten by masked men in his home Co Antrim.
Police say three or four men broke into the victim’s house in Dundrod Drive, Lisburn, at about midnight. The young man’s parents were restrained in a downstairs room while two of the assailants went to the 20 year-old’s bedroom and beat him with a nail-studded baseball bat and an iron bar.
The victim suffered broken wrists, several broken ribs and other cuts an bruises. His left leg was also broken.
Police described the assault as a "paramilitary style attack".
