A man was arrested today by police investigating the murder of a couple who died after their home was set on fire by a gang.

The man (57) was arrested in Armagh and was taken to Newry, Co Down, for questioning.

The house fire in November killed Thomas O'Hare (33) and his partner, Lisa McClatchey (21) at their Co Armagh home.

Detectives are waiting to question four brothers who were treated for serious burns at a hospital in Dublin. Three have been released, but none of the four is medically fit to be interviewed.

Several people have been questioned by police as part of their inquiries, and one man is on bail charged with perverting the course of justice and withholding information.

Mr O'Hare and Ms McClatchey were beaten, doused in flammable liquid and then set alight at their home at Tassagh, near Newtownhamilton.
