A 33-year-old man detained in connection with the Garda investigation into a Co Roscommon house fire which claimed the life of a five-year-old girl was last night charged in connection with the fatal fire.
He remains in Garda custody and will be brought before Ballinasloe District Court this morning.
A woman in her 50s, also arrested for questioning in relation to the fire, remains in custody at Boyle Garda station.
Mari Keane Connolly, who died in the Boyle fire, was buried on Tuesday.
