The Dublin man charged with the murder of his 12-year-old son at the weekend is to go before Dublin District Court on Friday.
Mr John Carroll (48), Bayview Rise, Killiney, appeared at a special sitting of Dublin District Court on Saturday evening, where he was charged with the murder of his son Andrew Carroll.
The accused, an electrician, was remanded in custody to appear in Court 46, the Bridewell on Friday.
Andrew was found dead in his home in Killiney on Friday at about 6.30 p.m.

A short time later, his father was taken in for questioning and detained at Shankill Garda Station overnight.
