The head of a nursing home for the elderly was convicted yesterday of sexually abusing a teenager who worked in the home as a part-time employee in 1993.

Cork District Court heard how the man, who pleaded not guilty to the charge of sexually abusing the 15-year-old between April 1993 and October 1994, had fondled her breast as she sat in his car.

Judge Joe Mangan adjourned the case to July 27th for a probation report and victim impact report.
