Cardiff - A man whose healthy kidney was mistakenly removed by surgeons died yesterday, a spokesman for Morriston Hospital in Swansea, Wales, said.

Graham Reeves (69) had been in intensive care in a critical condition since the January 24th operation, which left him with one diseased kidney. At the time he had been expected to survive only a few days.

The operation had been carried out at Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli.
